Football World Cup 2006 - My Predictions !!!

Being an Indian, Im basically a cricket lover. Schoole evening games aduvaange... eppovo vathu nammaku chance kedaikum. Aaana i cannot forget that one incident when i got a last chance and i wasted 2 balls. All were shouting at me. I lost my temper, then all of a sudden engirunthuthaan veri vanthathu therile i walked to half the pitch and picked the ball full toss, blew the bat with full force... ball pochu pochu... enga school moonavathu maadiyiyum thaandi poyiduchu. Another incidenttum iruku.. when we were having inter-house match in the school, everyone was practising that. Gap'le, namakku bowling aasaiyum vanthudichu. Curtly Ambrose maari bowling pode porennu sollitu 100 metres thalli poitten. I started running like a 100 m dash. Everyone's eye was on me. Well, im coming to the topic now. We did have football in school days, but that was at younger stage around 4th-6th std. All i knew about foot ball then was, the whole bunch of people run around the ball to put it in the goal.

This is the first time im watching Football World Cup. Very interesting, thrilling game. Probably dint get a chance to play much and moreover in India its not that famous. So finally Im also affected by the so called World Cup football fever. Medicine ?? Nothing can cure it, it will stay untill the last match on 9th of july. Now that the game has come to quaterfinals, im also eager to watch the results. Even before the world cup started, i dint have any info abt the teams, talent, ratings except that it is going to take place in Germany. Somehow i felt that Germany would lift the cup this time (Just a blind guess guys... its not a prophecy)

I have read Nostradamus prophecies which has been correlated with the history of Hitler, Napolean, World Cup etc. As per one of his prophecies, it was said that Spain would win this world cup. Nostradamus wrote that the Spanish king and his army will cross over the Pyrenees at the end of the sixth month of the sixth year. The king will win the battle with Beelzebub on the fields of Central Europe, and the army will return the Holy Grail to Spain. The journalists interpreted the prediction in the following way. “The Spanish king and his army” is the national Spanish football team and its coach Luis Aragones. “The fields of Central Europe” are the football stadiums in Germany, and “the Holy Grail” is the World Cup, of course. But this has proved false after spain loosing with France in yesterday's Game.

Now lets see if my predictions come true ;)

Italy Vs Ukraine == Italy

Germany Vs Italy == Germany

20.06.2006 - Oh what a Date!!!

Hey guys, did you notice today's date ? 20.06.2006, Another unique date that will never come in the history again. The thing I want to highlight is that this is the 3rd figure in the same month (Followed by 040506, 060606..). Somehow I jest feel good to be part of this. I have this habit of seeing unique numbers (even in the mileage of my bike). That has extended now to the Dates (Read out my blog on 060606).

Nothing much more to write about the date, so let me just write down what happened today since I got up. I wanted to get up early and start the Gym all over again (Rendu maasam continousa ponethe periye vishayam). But as usual I got up only by 8:45 and that was because Saran (Close Friend since college) had come home. Before I forget let me update about the dream I had. My office collegue Vatsan had calls me up, says sorry to disturb and updates me that he would be coming a bit late. Back to reality, I brushed my teeth and then enjoyed the morning coffee with saran. He was updating about his job hunt. Then got ready for office. Before starting had some hot arguments with dad about astrology. Kicked my bike and started it. Filled fuel on the way and then into imaginations (bike otinaale... Alaypayuthey la vara opening song endrendrum punnagai thaan eppovum mind la odum). Went to Sridhar's house (another collegue), picked him up and manage to reach office at 11 (Ascendas - International Tech Park). Morning routine continued - connected the laptop, switched it on, signed the attendance, went to the loo to wash face, and then the coffee. Saurav and team were there so just went to the conference hall (its a coffee meeting - Kalankathalaye armbichachaa ?). Then back to work. Got the Form16 from the admin. Vatsan just asked me sorry for disturbing me in the sleep and OH MY GOD...that time only it striked me that it WASNT A DREAM, Installed Visual studio .net 2003 in my laptop (install panrathukulle uyire pochu.. 2,3 attempts). Then went to lunch with Baski and Vatsan. Discussed about the weekend trip to Yelagiri. Couldnt eat much, but to compensate went to the coffee day and had Vanilla Ice cream. Back to work. Successfully completed the installation of VS 2003, then sat with Sundar for the SERM Report Analysis. Planned out the dates. Updated the doc. Back to the Yelagiri trip plan. Started from office around 8 and reached home around 8:40. Had dinner (Keerai saatham, Urulakalangu poriyal,
Mambalam...). Managed to skip channel (Mega seriale vida matengurangale...) to see Germany vs Ecuador football score (3:1). Finally on the comp to type all these ..........

06/06/06 == 666, is it a sign for bad omen ?

I have been following up some special dates for few years and something significant has happened in my life with all those dates (in positive manner). Some of the dates were:

01/02/03 - My First day at Dubai (client's place) [Opening ellam nallatha iruku... Aaana I only know the troubles i had in hadling the project :)]
02/03/04 - Again I was in dubai, but this time it was for completing the project [Successfully swam across the ocean, without knowing swimming]
03/04/05 - By this day I was working with a new employer (Thirdware Solutions) with the client FORD and in couple of weeks i travel to Dublin [Yet another honeymoon period]
04/05/06 - Im still with the same employer but a different client Pfizer!!!

06/06/06- I did notice todays date with triple six. Normally 666 is considered as number of saturn, a symbol for bad omen (Appadinnu solraango!!!). Since my childhood i have read many articles, prophecies that the world is going to end around 09-09-1999. I was eagerly waiting for it, just out of curiousity. That day did come and i still remember me and karts (karthik) took a snap of each other (just in case if it was the last time .. he he). But nothing major happened. We did survive and so did the earth. I do read lot of Nostradamus predictions and thought this could be true. Ofcourse we have faced many natural calamities, earthquakes, and other such happenings [Twin Towers fall, India-Pak-Kargil, Tsunami in south Asia, Us attack in Afghanistan, Iraq... were some of the examples of heavy loss of property and people] which infact gave some resemblence to the prophecies.. but none of them were close to ARMAGEDDON.

I dont think this is a symbol for bad omen or the world is not goin to just end in one day. We have crossed 1806, 1906 and 2006 ofcourse. What i all feel is this is different date which will not repeat again (tho da..matha date ellam repeat agumaanu kekathinga]. I mean this is unique date and forms a different pattern. Ofcourse this date will appear again in June 2106, but none of us might be living......

I also read somewhere that actually 616 is the sign of beast and not 666. I also think Dan Brown makes a statement on this number 666 as a symbol for female goddess and not beast.

Finally, Im not sure if this is a sign for bad omen but the only issue i had with the date is, I couldnt update this blog exactly on the same date.

Digital Diary - About the Title

I Love writing diary entries, but Im very lazy to do it continously. During my school-college days I have written for few days in my diary and left it like that (Chinna vaisule kirukinathuthan!!!). After few years, when I started working I thought why not use the comp to type in the daily happenings (thoda... kaile keyboard eduthutaar kathasiriyaar). And surprisingly I really did that for a longer period. However that lasted only for 2,3 months (athane paarthen!!!). It was good fun reading them, took me back to many of the olden days. Moreover it had the the dates of important occasions.

Then once when I was vaugely browsing the net, I happen to land on one of the user's blog which drew my concentration and interest (thobakadirnu blog endre kadalil vilunthuten). So I created a blog for myself (Arambichitiyaaa???). I know I wont be able to write everyday, but I will do it whenever I get time.

So this digitalised diary of mine is on the web for any one to go through, read, have fun and comment on it (Komatittu vara maari comment eluthathingo). This would not be my dialy activity, rather I would try to write on some particular topic. But all the topics will surely have some incident that either happened with me or with people I know (Sonthamaa etha pannirukom). This way I can express things that I feel. Im pretty sure everyone one of us go through many things common in life. We all have similar situation, different thoughts, many experience. Anyone and everyone can share it here....
